Does your business need to segregate employees within Payroll? Do you need to assign rights to a certain individual within the Payroll module so he or she can access your executives’ pay details? In Sage 300 Payroll, you can do this by setting up User Security. Follow the directions below to learn how to use this feature.
- Set up Selection Lists. Click on US Payroll – Payroll Employees – Employee Selection. Enter a name, description and select employees who should be part of this group. You can define as many groups as you want.
- Assign the list to the payroll staff. Click on US Payroll – Payroll Employees – User Security Setup. Select the employee, change Access Type to Selection List and then make the correct selection.
- Once the user has been assigned to a Selection List, whenever they are in US Payroll add access employee screens, reports or payroll processing, they will only see the employees who are on the list assigned to them.
