Management Team

Ronald T. Monford - Chairman & CEO

Ron Monford is a seasoned executive with diverse industry management experience in building businesses and turning company losses into profits. After beginning his career as an engineer at Texas Instruments, he spent over 20 years in the apparel industry where he held CEO, COO and General Manager positions. He has extensive experience guiding early-stage companies to greater revenue and increased profits. Mr. Monford launched, built and sold companies to Fortune 1000 companies and spearheaded a company roll-up strategy that resulted in a $300 million enterprise in the men's apparel industry.

Most recently, Mr. Monford was CEO of Mind Over Machines, an IT services company in Baltimore, where he successfully grew company revenues more than five-fold. Mr. Monford helped launch Mindover Corp in 2001 and currently serves as Chairman, CEO and CFO. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and has served on its Council on Small Business for several years and is chairman of the Sub Council on International Trade. His education includes an MBA and a B.S. in industrial engineering. He resides with his wife, Roseanne, on Canyon Lake north of San Antonio.

Lloyd Smith - President & Director of Operations

Working from our Austin office, Lloyd Smith has over 20 years of consulting experience with advanced ERP systems like Accpac and MAS 500. He began his career as an internal auditor for a defense contractor in San Antonio. He later moved to Miami where he joined a regional CPA firm and eventually became partner. It was during his tenure in public accounting that Mr. Smith implemented his first Accpac software solution. Because of a growing demand for business management software, he created a new division within his CPA firm solely dedicated to designing, installing and supporting accounting solutions.

While in Miami, Mr. Smith helped form and grow a software consulting firm into the largest Accpac reseller in all of Florida. With clients in Florida, the Caribbean, Central and South America, he became internationally recognized as a leading expert on Accpac software. In 2001, he came to Austin and co-founded Mind Over Corp to focus on designing highly integrated business management systems based on Sage Accpac, Sage MAS 500, SageCRM and Sage HRMS. He currently serves as president and Director of Operations for Mind Over Corp.

David Manzer - Director of Sales & Marketing

David Manzer brings a diverse background of experience in accounting, finance, sales and marketing to Mindover Software. He began his career at Arthur Andersen before moving into an international audit role at Ralston Purina in St. Louis, where his fluency in French and Spanish was put to good use. Afterward, he was promoted to controller for the pet food research division. He joined Schlumberger as a field controller over two divisions then later joined Dell Computers to spearhead global accounting and reporting for the newly formed international Home & Small Business division.

Mr. Manzer formed his own consulting business in 2001 focusing on mergers and acquisitions of CPA firms and technology companies. The experience he gained running his own business led him to assume a more concentrated role in sales and marketing for technology companies. After joining Mindover Software in 2005 as a Sage Accpac consultant, he quickly transitioned into sales and marketing in order to drive new client acquisition and was promoted to Director, Sales & Marketing in 2008.

Cindy Lawlor - Consultant

Based in our Dallas office, Cindy Lawlor specializes in the Sage Accpac ERP, SageCRM, Sage Insight and MISys product lines. Ms. Lawlor has over 13 years of experience as a consultant with experience working in such diverse industries as manufacturing, healthcare, construction, logistics, retail and professional services as well as with products like EDI, MAS 90 and MAS 200. Her many specializations include report writing, business intelligence and data warehouse design, software training and post-implementation support. From our Dallas-Fort Worth location, Ms. Lawlor services clients in Texas and throughout the southwest.

Rob Masters, MBA, CPIM - Senior Consultant / Project Manager

Rob Masters has over 20 years experience in such fields as engineering, project management and software consulting. After graduating from University of Washington, Mr. Masters worked as an Automation Engineer for Texas Instruments. He was also a manager at Ernst and Young in the Performance Improvement Group and a vice-president of operations at Phytel based in Dallas. His specializations include operations and project management with an emphasis on implementing manufacturing software and ERP software for complex, multi-location companies. Mr. Masters supports Accpac and MISys software clients in Texas and throughout the US. He joined Mindover Software in 2008.

Charlotte Shafer - Consultant

Based in our Austin office, Charlotte Shafer supports the Sage Accpac and Sage Abra HRMS product lines. She brings over 12 years of experience working in healthcare, banking and manufacturing. As a financial analyst, she provided financial analysis, budgeting and software support. At a medical device manufacturer in Florida, she also performed due diligence in connection with several company acquisitions, assisted with SEC reporting and supervised inventory control. Based in Austin since she joined Mindover Software in 2007, Ms. Shafer supports clients in Texas and throughout the southwest by providing implementation and training services.

John Tourville - Senior Consultant

Based in Boise, Idaho, John Tourville has worked with Sage Accpac for eight years, providing implementation assistance, technical support, training, report design, data conversion services, and operating system support for Sage Accpac users in the United States, Sweden, and Australia. He is a Sage Accpac and SageCRM Certified Consultant and has broad experience with Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access, and Visual Basic. He joined Mindover Software in 2008.
